Retired LCDR Carl Jewett
Patient and Veterans Advocate
Carl Jewett is a retired naval officer (LCDR) and the patient advocacy director for Mesothelioma Guide. He also serves as the executive director of the Veterans Assistance Network and is fully accredited by the VA. After serving in the Navy’s submarine force for just under 24 years, Commander Jewett retired from active duty in the Navy and assumed the executive director position at the Veterans Assistance Network. Since that time, he has helped over 1000 veterans with asbestos illnesses get approved for VA Disability Compensation and Pension. He is married and has three adult children.
Jenna Campagna, RN
Medical Outreach Director
Jenna Campagna helps mesothelioma patients find specialists through the Doctor Match program. Her expert advice is invaluable to patients looking for a second opinion to expand their treatment options. Jenna combines her talent as a nurse with her enthusiasm for changing peoples' lives. She understands the financial burden a mesothelioma diagnosis can bring and helps families work through issues with health insurance and travel expenses. Jenna's goal is to be an impeccable advocate for patients and families while inspiring hope and bringing a smile to their faces.
Sara Gillberg leads the community outreach team at Mesothelioma Guide. She focuses her work with Mesothelioma Guide on spreading awareness, educating the public and going above and beyond for those influenced by this rare disease. When she isn't reaching out to people about mesothelioma, Sara spends her time outdoors and with her loved ones.
Social Media Director
Chloe Ryniewicz uses our social media platforms to reach out to mesothelioma patients and their families. Chloe hopes to help make an impact in spreading awareness and helping those affected learn how to prevent, treat, and cope with this disease. In her spare time Chloe loves being outdoors and staying active. She is also an avid music fan and enjoys attending music festivals.
Jamie Iovino is the senior writer at Mesothelioma Guide. Her goal is to make quality information more accessible to mesothelioma patients, family members, and friends. Jamie has also worked closely with the community outreach team. She spends most of her spare time with her pit bull, Olive, but also enjoys reading the classics and writing poetry.
Daryl Atkins is the senior designer at mesothelioma guide. He uses his education, research, and eye for design to provide a more enriched visual experience for mesothelioma patients. He enjoys finding creative solutions to visual problems. He's originally from Jamaica and is proud of his heritage. On weekends you can find him skateboarding or riding his bike around town.
Nicole Godfrey is a member of the community outreach team at Mesothelioma Guide. Her mission as a community outreach member is to find the best resources that are available to educate and spread awareness of mesothelioma to both patients and their loved ones. When she isn’t working, she enjoys reading graphic novels and writing fiction. She also is an avid theme park enthusiast.
Shea Atkinson is a community outreach team member at Mesothelioma Guide. He spreads awareness about mesothelioma by reaching out to people all over the world. His goal is to help make Mesothelioma Guide's resources and information available to everyone who may need them. He likes to spend his free time hanging out with friends, going to the beach, traveling and staying active.
Jeron McFarland is a community outreach member at Mesothelioma Guide. His main goal is to help make mesothelioma and its effects common knowledge throughout the world. He strives to make Mesothelioma Guide the only resource you should ever need for mesothelioma and asbestos information. When he’s not working he likes to stay fit, socialize and root on his favorite sports teams.
Josh Lohse is the webmaster at Mesothelioma Guide. Josh is passionate about creating a strong digital experience for mesothelioma patients, and focuses his time on making the Mesothelioma Guide website more helpful and user-friendly. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music, reading, and finding trendy local restaurants with his wife.
