Happy Veterans Day!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my fellow veterans on this Veterans Day. I would like to let all of you know how very much we all appreciate your service to our great country and the sacrifices that – I know all too well – you had to make in service to our nation.

You signed a contract that said that you would defend the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and were willing to do whatever was necessary to defend the freedoms we all enjoy, up to and including giving the ultimate sacrifice for your country.

I served in the Navy for just under 24 years. I have seen wars come and I have seen them go. What many civilians don’t understand is that none of us pray for war. To the contrary; we prepare for war, but pray for peace.

We hope that we will not have to use our power, but are always willing to deploy it to deter those who would seek to destroy our way of life.

For those who are just beginning to transition out of the military, our obligations to them are just beginning. In the same way we looked out for each other when we served together, so should we help our fellow veterans once they have taken off the uniform and moved on to their civilian lives.

At Mesothelioma Guide, we pride ourselves on doing just that. As time goes on, we expect that we will someday see the number of veterans diagnosed with asbestos illnesses begin to wane.

For now, as long as our fellow veterans are still contracting illnesses as a result of asbestos exposure in the military, we will be here helping them and their loved ones. We will help them find the treatment they need, the support they have earned, and the assistance in obtaining the benefits they deserve.

God bless each and every one of you who have served, and God bless the United States of America.
